Who we are
Replace It (HENRY'S R US LTD, company number 16020049) sells new and refurbished vacuum cleaners and parts in the UK. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and what you bought.
- Payment details: handled by our payment provider. We don't see or store your full card number.
- Account details: your email and order history, if you create an account.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, form or phone, including warranty and returns requests.
- Website data: device and browser information, pages visited and how you found us, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have signed up to hear from us.
How we use it, and why
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your information.
- To take and deliver your order, handle returns and warranty claims, and give you support. Basis: contract.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. Basis: legitimate interests.
- To keep financial and tax records. Basis: legal obligation.
- To improve the site and understand how it's used. Basis: legitimate interests, or consent where cookies require it.
- To send you news, restocks and offers, if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time. Basis: consent.
Who we share it with
We only share information with organisations that help us run the store, and only what they need:
- Our ecommerce platform, Shopify.
- Payment providers: Shopify Payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Diners Club, Discover and UnionPay), Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Our delivery partner, Evri.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your basket working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time, and you can block cookies in your browser settings, though the basket may stop working. See our cookie policy.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. When they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved standard contractual terms.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for as long as the law requires, currently 6 years. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the reasons above.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete your information, in some cases;
- ask us to restrict or stop using it, in some cases;
- receive your information in a portable format, in some cases;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.

Keeping it safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Payments are processed by our payment provider over a secure connection.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
